Student Support

Student Support

Once you join the Auburn Family, you’ll receive support from a network of people and resources committed to ensuring your professional journey is as smooth as possible. Your Admissions Advisor and Student Success Coordinator will continue to provide support and guidance as you begin your program, helping you to stay connected every step of the way.

Student Success Coordinator

Each student will be assigned a Student Success Coordinator (“SSC”) for onboarding and continuous support services. The Student Success Coordinator will serve as your key support person from enrollment through graduation. If questions arise regarding registration, orientation, books, or other administrative issues (processes, department referrals, unforeseen circumstances), the SSC is the appropriate contact for support.

If the SSC isn’t the subject matter expert, they will research the issue and help you find the appropriate department or resource. The student and SSC begin working together in orientation and will get to know one another better in the student success meeting, which will be scheduled before the first term begins. The SSC will remain the students’ point of contact throughout the program to ensure all the next steps are clear for successful matriculation.

New Student Online Orientation

All Auburn students will be invited to participate in the asynchronous New Student Online Orientation. The goal of the orientation is to help prepare students to succeed as an online student at Auburn University. The orientation will cover a variety of topics, including an introduction to AU, tips for managing work/life balance, expectations for the program, policies and advice for maximizing your online learning experience.

Your Student Success Coordinator is your instructor for orientation and will be available to ensure you are completing all the vital tasks within orientation and answer any questions that come up along the way. The New Student Online Orientation truly allows new students the opportunity to acclimate to the online learning management system (LMS), so they are comfortable with the technologies and able to hit the ground running when the term begins!
